My Story

Cushman Motor Scooters were built in Lincoln, Nebraska from 1936 to 1965. They were known for their durability, reliability, and unique designs. I got bit by this hobby back in 1995 when I purchased a 1954 Cushman Truckster that was once used for selling Ice-cream on the streets of Detroit. While walking through the Southland Mall, Taylor Michigan in January of 1996 I came across the Motor City Cushman Club displaying their scooters. I immediately joined their club, the Cushman Collectors of America and the Vintage Motor Bike Club. Since that moment I have owned numerous scooters and ridden many miles on one. My personal favorite trip was when I rode my 64 Silver Eagle Vanguard conversion from Chicago IL to Santa Monica CA in ten days.
